Our Focus Areas

Many communities still need access to education, health and safety, which are fundamental to their futures. We believe our focus on these areas will help ensure communities can be safer, more secure, and more resilient.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

Prudence Foundation’s programmes aim to help contribute to the objectives of the highlighted United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

We believe it is only through partnerships between humanitarian, government and private sectors organisations that the targets of the UN SDGs can be achieved by 2030.

Why Education, Health and Safety?

Prudence Foundation has developed programmes that focus on health and safety education, around preventable causes of death, financial literacy and early childhood development.

In particular:

Increased awareness on key health and safety concepts helps reduce the number of deaths and minimise its economic impact. Globally, around 3.5 million people die every year due to unintentional injuries1.

Financial literacy contributes to the overall GDP of an economy; yet over two thirds of the global population are financially illiterate, an issue which current education systems are not addressing2.

Investing in early childhood development can yield a return as high as 13%3, helping ensure children can live healthier lives, stay in school longer and reach their full potential. The period from pregnancy to age 3 is the most critical as 80% of the brain is formed by this age.4
