Launched in 2007, the China Insurance Education Programme is a tribute to Prudential’s pioneering work with government partners and demonstrates our commitment to helping introduce insurance and risk education throughout China.
Supported by the Ministry of Education, Prudence Foundation partners with the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) and Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) to develop educational materials, course books and then roll out pilot classes initially across 15 schools in Beijing, Dalian, Jiangsu and Sichuan.
The programme celebrated its 10th anniversary in May 2017. Today the programme has grown from 15 to 72 schools, and has cumulatively reached 71,500 students and teachers, strengthening their knowledge of insurance and how it relates to their lives.
The Prudential Cup is the annual highlight of the China Insurance Education Programme, in which students are invited to demonstrate their knowledge through the contest.
